There is so much going on at Riverfest, now in it’s third year being run by Newport Carnival & Community Events Association!
There are going to be a whole host of stalls from local businesses, charities and fundraising stands throughout the day along the quay.
Additionally, there will be a stage, this time in a larger area due to its popularity last year, with a whole host of acts playing which can be seen below.
This line up is subject to change at short notice and times are approximate.
09:50-10:00 - Pirates' Parade with Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band
The Pirates' Parade is the opening ceremony to Riverfest 2024 with a local band leading followed by a fancy dressed pirate themed display.
You can enter the parade easily but contacting us via the contact page.
The parade departs St Thomas' Square in Newport Town Centre at 09:50 and makes its way to The Quay for 10:00.
The parade will feature Vectis Corps of Drums Marching Band as seen in Isle of Wight Carnivals and local events.
10:30 - Huxley Magic
Hucley, who has been the site magician for several huge events such as Isle of Wight Festival, Bestival, Camp Bestival, Rhythmtree, VDub Island, Healing, Ventnor Fringe, Folstation, Hampshire Air Ambulance Family Day and Postfest. With Riverfest now being added to his extensive portfolio.
11:00 - Medina Marching Band
Medina Marching Band is proud to be a true military styled marching band with a long standing tradition as one of the country’s foremost youth marching bands.
Based on the style of the United Kingdom’s armed forces with the unmistakable red jackets, white helmets and caps, Medina Marching Band, now in its 47th year has become a welcome and familiar sight at parades, shows and events the length and breadth of the country.
11:30 - Flash Kirby
Flash Kirby was present at 2022 and 2023's Riverfest event and really interacted with the crowds.
12:00 - Emellia
Emellia is a singer-songwriter bringing a new taste of electronic pop mixed with a dark venture to the new era of the music industry.
An honest, relatable approach is driven into the song writing combined with razor-sharp hooks for her edgy dark-pop songs.
She featured at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2022!
12:30 - Gemma Hunt's CBeebies' Swashbuckle Show
Swashbuckle is a television show on CBeebies aimed at young children which started airing in 2013. The show takes the format of a game show where children control a group of pirates. The show is one of CBeebies's most watched shows. It won the 2015 British Academy Children's Awards for Entertainment and was nominated in 2018.
Gemma Hunt will be here with her film crew putting on a show with the audience.
13:15 - FAT Samba Band
Based in Freshwater and Totland (FAT), with members from all over the Isle of Wight, FAT Samba are a strong community-based band, who create a loud and vibrant atmosphere wherever they play. Their gig list encompasses many carnivals and special events. They have played at events such as Riverfest, Yarmouth Old Gaffers, the Island Games, V-Dub Festival, Robin Hill events and Yarmouth Guy Fawkes parade.

14:00 - The Aspire Creative Hub Takeover
The Creative Hub is a community multimedia production studio at Aspire Ryde where we strive to provide a platform for people to express their creativity.
The Aspire Creative Hub is a place for people to come together and unleash their creativity!
There will be a number of performers taking to the stage during the final few hours of Riverfest.

Riverfest comes to an end at 17:00.
