Set Sail to Riverfest Isle of Wight

Riverfest is a fun, free community event which takes place on the second Saturday in May in the heart of the Isle of Wight at Newport, the Island’s capital.

The event has all the feel of a traditional village fete, with many free activities for children. Local charities attend, promoting the work they do in the community, helping people and the local environment.

There is no entrance fee for visitors on the day, as kindly supported by Newport & Carisbrooke Community Council, Cherry Godfrey, Red Funnel, and Lawdit Solicitors.

Riverfest is organised by Newport Carnival & Community Events Association, a local carnival group, which has a passion for events on the Isle of Wight.

Riverfest is a completely free event for everyone to enjoy — and we love bringing our community together each year!

While it’s free to attend, it costs around £10,000 to make it all happen. If you’re able and would like to support Riverfest, any donation, big or small, would mean the world to us. Your generosity helps keep the magic alive — thank you!
